Peng Chen had been working as a faculty member Zhongnan University of Economics & Law from 1982 till 1993. In 1996, he started his career in Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corp. first as the deputy director-general in Economics and Technical Research Center. In August, 1997, he was appointed deputy director in Financial Department, and then later promoted to director in November, 1998. In July, 2000, Peng Chen earned the title of Chief Accountant and since Dec. of 2002, he has been the Deputy General Manager & Chief Accountant in Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corp..
