CBCSD held ˇ°Seminor on Sustainable Development Reporting Guidelinesˇ± |
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) published its revised ˇ°Sustainability Reporting Guidelinesˇ± (2006 Edition) on October 4th, 2006 in Amsterdam, Holland. CBCSD decides to hold a seminar on the latest version of ˇ°Sustainability Reporting Guidelinesˇ± in Beijing on October 16th, 2006, aiming at promoting Chinese Companies to compile sustainable development report, and strengthening these companiesˇŻ international competitiveness. The seminar invited Mr. Roger Adams, Board Member of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Executive Director - Technical of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to introduce the revised ˇ°Sustainability Reporting Guidelinesˇ± (2006 Edition) and how to compile corporate sustainable development reports. Member companies of CBCSD which published their sustainable development reports, such as BP, Baosteel, Alcoa China and Shell China, were invited to share their experiences on the preparation and compiling of sustainable development reports, and to share their Chinese reports with other companies. The seminar gained positive feedbacks and effectively enhanced Chinese corporationsˇŻ progress in the way towards producing sustainable development reports.
To enhance the promotion progress of sustainable development reporting, CBCSD has finished the preparation for the translation of ˇ°Indicator Protocolsˇ± (the appendix of ˇ°Sustainability Reporting Guidelinesˇ±) and then the printing of the whole ˇ°Sustainability Reporting Guidelinesˇ± 2006 edition.
