On September 19th, 2007, Group PSA Peugeot Citroën inaugurated PSA Peugeot Citroën’s friendship primary school located in the remote town of Xinzhou in Shanxi Province. General Manager of subsidiary Peugeot Citroën (China) Automotive Trade Co. Ltd Yves Boutin participated in the event.

Thanks to PSA Peugeot Citroën’s 150 000 RMB financial support, this school in Xinzhou could be renovated, allowing hundreds of pupils to study in better conditions in the future. On that day, all the pupils and the teachers from the school as well as representatives from local authorities and PSA Peugeot Citroën were gathered and celebrated together the inauguration of the new school.

Applying a sustainable development and corporate social responsibility policy is of great concern to PSA Peugeot Citroën, which regularly takes part in China and in the rest of the world in projects such as the one in Shanxi.
