ADEQ seeks ideas to improve recycling efforts

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) wants proposals to enhance recycling efforts in the state from private enterprises, political groups and nonprofit organizations that serve Arizona communities. ADEQ provides funding for recycling projects statewide in three categories: Waste Reduction Assistance; Waste Reduction Initiative Through Education; and Recycling Research & Development. The agency has scheduled three conferences across the state for those interested in applying for funding. The Valley event is planned for June 21, at 1 p.m. at Arizona Industrial Commission Auditorium, 800 W. Washington St., Phoenix.
