The China Hotel Association Saturday called on the hotel industry to take an active part in the drive of building an energy-saving society and create more environment-friendly hotels.

Managing staffs of all hotels should ask every employee to make contribution by reducing administrative expenses and economizing on electricity.

All hotels will reduce the supply of disposal articles such as toothbrush, slippers and soap in hotel rooms in order to be environmentally-friendly. They will also save water, electricity, gas, oil and coal.

The hotel association also proposed the whole industry make use of hi-tech methods and increase recycling rate.
