Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan says that China adheres to a mutually beneficial, win-win and opening-up policy. Speaking at the 9th China International Investment and Trade Fair held in Xiamen, Zeng said China is willing to enlarge trade cooperation with all nations and regions and achieve common progress and sustainable development in the course of fair competition and all-round cooperation. He pledged that China will continue to improve the investment environment and optimize investment structure to attract more foreign investors to fuel the country's brisk economic growth. "The Chinese Government encourages overseas companies to participate in China's drive of developing its West and Northeast and establish more regional bases and purchase centers in China," Zeng said.
He encouraged overseas companies to cooperate with Chinese companies in technological research, purchase of resources and opening of new markets.
He also encouraged overseas companies to adhere to sustainable development by developing projects which save energy, water, land and raw materials, while yielding the maximum economic results. He hopes overseas investors would bring environmental-friendly and advanced production mode to China.
Statistics show that of world's top 500 multinational corporations, more than 450 have invested in China.
