SHENGZHEN, Sept 16 Asia Pulse - China Southern Glass Holding Co Ltd (CSG Holding) will inject about 4 billion yuan (US$494.5 million) for the construction of a green-energy industry park in Dongguan City in South China's Guangdong Province, the biggest investment project ever launched by CSG Holding. The park, designed to cover an area of about 47 hectares, will mainly engage in production of solar energy cell, solar energy glass, super-white glass, and energy-conservation construction glass. Upon completion, the park's annual output value will reach 9 billion yuan. The company based in Shenzhen signed an agreement on founding the park with Mayong Township of Dongguan City on September 15. The solar energy cell project is aimed to become the biggest such production base in China, with planned production capacity of 450 magawatt, which is expected to be completed by 2009. The energy-conservation construction glass project will provide 15 million square metres of quality glass to the market each year. Chen Chao, chairman of the company, said that the founding of the park is in keeping with China's drive to develop of renewable energy and energy-saving products, and also help the company readjust product mix and profit composition.
