PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bio Reaction Industries® (BRI), a leading innovator of biotechnology solutions for the pollution control industry, today announced significant business and revenue growth for 2004 and 2005.

BRI has pioneered a new generation of environmentally friendly air pollution control filters. BRI's biofilters can literally absorb and digest volatile organic compounds and odors in industrial and municipal applications and convert them to carbon dioxide and water vapor. As the cost of natural gas has nearly doubled since March, BRI officials note that the company's bio- oxidation filters use just one-tenth the natural gas that traditional thermal oxidation solutions require.

These factors, coupled with the approaching EPA composite wood and plywood MACT deadlines in September 2007, have contributed to a significant increase in BRI business in 2004 and 2005.

"BRI's 200,000 cubic feet per minute of air system (50' w x 150' l x 30') in the Southwestern United States bio-oxidation filter positions us well as other wood products companies look for alternative equipment for MACT compliance," said Karl Mundorff, BRI president and CEO. "Projects such as this and other in the wood products industry as well as our waste water treatment work for municipalities such as the City of Wilsonville, Oregon have helped contribute to a 300 percent increase in projects in 2005 over 2004."

Based on current growth rates, and with EPA MACT deadlines pending, Mundorf and company officials estimate that the company's overall revenue could increase by as much as four to six fold over the coming two years.

With the support of BRI's primary investor, Stellar Technologies LLC (www.stellartllc.com), BRI has been approached by foreign companies and is pursuing licensing opportunities in Japan, Hong Kong, China and Croatia. Stellar Technologies is Idaho's largest provider of private equity placement.
