Rubber recycling company to expand Rotterdam site

New York Rubber Recycling of Rotterdam, N.Y., will expand, thanks to an investment by the company and by New York state.

The company said Tuesday it will expand its crumb rubber-making capacity with the help of a $500,000 grant from the New York State Environmental Investment Program. The company will contribute $839,000.

Among the uses of the recycled crumb rubber made by the company are tracks and other athletic facilities.

New York Rubber Recycling is a subsidiary of PermaLife Products LLC. Its other New York operation is in Seneca County.
