The City of Airdrie has found a unique partner to recycle all forms of plastic. The city plans to ship plastic to China for processing. Airdrie operates one large recycling depot. Airdrie Mayor Linda Bruce recently returned from a trip to China where she reviewed plastic recycling plants. She wanted to make sure the city would not send materials to sweatshops, or support child labour. The Town of High River is also considering the idea. |
