The policy, jointly mapped out by
National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and
Technology and Environmental Protection Administration of China,
proposes three goals to complete step by step:
-- As of 2010, the recycling rate of all
homemade and imported vehicles falling in categories of M2/M3 and
N2/N3 as specified should reach up to 85 per cent, including the
recycling rate of related materials, not less than 80 per cent.
While the recycling rate of those vehicle specified in the category
of M1/N1shoud be up to 80 per cent, including that of related
materials, not less than 75 per cent;
-- As of 2012, the recycling rate of all
the homemade and imported vehicles in the category of M/N should be
up to 90 per cent, including that of related materials, not less
than 80 per cent;
-- As of 2017, the recycling rate of all
the homemade and imported vehicles in the category of M/N should be
up to around 90 per cent, including that of related materials, not
less than 85 per cent.
According to the national standards, the
M category covers passenger vehicles, and the N category refers to
