In June 2009, China CSR Map (CCM) has become a strategic partner of China Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD).

In the last few years, sustainable development opportunities in China have been increasing and CBCSD has shown a strong commitment to CSR development in China. CBCSD and CCM will join hands to improve sharing of information, experiences and best practices and to promote communications and cooperation between enterprises and other organizations in the field of sustainable development. CBCSD will share the latest practices in CSR from its member companies through CCM’s platform to enhance the communications between domestic and foreign enterprises; In addition, CBCSD encourages its members to share experiences from their CSR activities on the China CSR Map website as well.

The China Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD) ( www.cbcsd.org.cn) was officially established in October 2003, thanks to the joint efforts of China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), as well as long processes of preparation by numbers of well-known Chinese and international companies. CBCSD is a coalition of leading Chinese and foreign enterprises registered and operating in China as a national organization, established through the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. The council now has around 70 member companies.

China CSR Map ( www.chinacsrmap.org) is an online English-Chinese directory, listing hundreds of practitioners and organizations active in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in China. The China CSR Map initiative is supported by the Sino-German Corporate Social Responsibility Project ( www.chinacsrproject.org). Currently, China CSR Map contains around 300 profiles of relevant organizations and over 100 profiles of CSR practitioners. Since the launch of the website three years ago, China CSR Map has become the important source of information for those, globally and locally, interested in the development of CSR in China.
