The NO.9 Audit Report which was released by CNAO on June 17th shows that though some corporations have gained great achievement in energy-saving and emission-reduction, there still are some problems such as inefficiency of energy-saving, excessive emission of sulfur dioxide and main pollution source. Performance of some center owned enterprises isn't satisfying.

Currently center-owned enterprises can be divided into 10 fields, namely petroleum and petrochemical, coal, chemical industry, metallurgy and electric power. The industrial added value of 9 fields among these account for nearly 80% of the total industrial added value, occupying about one third of GDP. Therefore center owned enterprises are playing an important role in national economic.

Center owned corporations are important power and main entry of national capital, shouldering the responsibility of accelerating the development of economic. But for most part, Center owned corporations discharge lots of waste, consume a lot, and use a huge number of resource. As a result, center owned corporations play an crucial part in in energy-saving, emission-reduction and ecological-protection.

Admittedly, some center owned corporations don't pay enough attention to their historical position and social responsibility, causing environmental pollution without implementing measures of energy-saving and emission-reduction. So there is still a long way for center owned corporations to go before they carry out corporate social responsibility properly.
