WBCSD
held its 2011 ExCo Meeting, Council Meeting, Regional Network Meeting and
Liaison Delegate Meeting form Oct 31st to Nov 4th in Munich, Germany, gathering
some 500 representatives including CEOs, presidents and senior managements from
global leading companies. CBCSD joined in the one-week meetings and participated
in the discussion.
This
year’s meeting themed at “Business Solutions: Transition to the Future”. The
meeting announced the list of 15 members of the 2012-2013 ExCo ; named Chad O.
Holliday, Chairman, Bank of America, USA as WBCSD new Chairman and re-elected
Mr. Wang Jiming, Executive President of CBCSD the ExCo member; approved WBCSD’s
new logo and website and changed the WBCSD slogan from "dedicated to making a
difference" to "business solutions for a sustainable world"; discussed WBCSD and
member companies’ perspective participation in 2011 UNFCCC COP17 in Durban,
South Africa and 2012 Rio 20+ summit.
CBCSD took part in the WBCSD focus area meetings and regional network meeting, through dialogues and work group discussions, to leverage and facilitate the cooperation in GHG Protocol, CSI, UII, ESR, etc.; had meetings with US BCSD, Korea BCSD, Japan Kaidairen and India BCSD seperately to push forward progress on cooperations including China-US Eco-Partnership, China-Japan-Korea Sustainable Development Business Roundtable Mechanism and China-India Business communications.
