WBCSD held the ExCo teleconference meeting at 19:00-21:00 (Beijing time)on June 1st, 2012. Mr. Wang Jiming, as the member of WBCSD Executive Committee, President of CBCSD, Consultant of Science & Technology Committee of Sinopec, attended the meeting. The teleconference was chaired by Mr. Chad O. Holliday, Chairman of the WBCSD, Board Chairman of Bank of America while the president of WBCSD, Mr. Peter Bakker, submitted the status report to the ExCo. The teleconference reviewed and approved president status report and discussed key issues such as WBCSD strategic observations, Rio+20 Summit, working plans, financials, coming meetings and so on. Other WBCSD ExCo members or ExCo member representatives also attended the meeting, including Acciona Energy, Toyota, America Electric Power (AEP) and Eskom.
Mr. Zhai Qi, the CBCSD Deputy Secretary General, together with representatives of Foreign Affairs Bureau of Sinopec and representatives of CBCSD secretariat also attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates as well.
WBCSD Executive Committee holds the teleconference twice or three times every year to approve and monitor the works of council. This event on June 1st is the second meeting of this year. Mr. Wang Jiming is the first executive member of WBCSD from China.
