The release conference of top 500 companies and China’s large enterprises summit will be held in Kunming, Yunnan between August 30-September 1, 2013. The meeting will be held together by CEC and CEDA, organized by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, and co-organized by the city of Kunming.

On July 23, CEC and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province held the press conference for the release of top 500 Chinese companies and China’s big enterprises summit. In the meeting, Mr. Wang Jiming, President of CEC and CBCSD introduced the objective, significance and arrangements of the summit; Mr. Yao Guohua, Vice Secretary General of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province introduced the basic situation of Yunnan, the preparation for the summit and its detailed schedule; Mr. Ruan Fengbin, Vice Mayor of Kunming introduced the city and answered the questions from press.

The summit is themed with “Be strong and take the lead: the development of large enterprises under economic upgrade”. Now we are in a complicated international economy with slowly growing domestic economy and huge production surplus. Under the spirit of the 18th NPC and the background of economic upgrade, there are several questions remaining to be answered. How to stimulate large enterprises to innovate new development pattern and to “be strong and take the lead”? How to solve the problems of development based on current situation and the future? How can large enterprises enhance their leadership and improve the overall quality of the whoel industry? These questions will all be fully discussed in the summit.

As an annual meeting for the business community, the release conference of top 500 Chinese companies and the China’s big enterprises summit is not only an opportunity for high-end business exchanges, but also a platform for Yunnan to demonstrate its achievements, improve region image and further its opening-up. Yunnan hosting the 12th summit will give the regional government and companies the opportunity to learn from top 500 companies, at the same time demonstrate Yunnan , improve its image and furthen the process of opening-up.
