Mr. Wang Jiming, President of CBCSD, ExCo member of WBCSD participated in 2013 WBCSD ExCo Meeting, Annual General Meeting (AGM), Liaison Delegates (LD) Meeting and Regional Network (RN) Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey from 4th-8th, Nov.. Around 400 representatives from over 150 global companies and organizations attended the whole event. Themed as “From Vision 2050 to Action 2020”, the AGM discussed its 2014 annual work plan and presented its groundbreaking “Action 2020” plan, which set up feasible and practical sustainable goals by 2020 and proposed business solutions and measurement to promote common actions, based on the outcomes of creative “Vision 2050”. The annual event also published Reporting Matters – WBCSD 2013 Baseline Report, which explained effective disclosure methods for non-financial information and provided series of best business practices.
WBCSD ExCo Meeting discussed and approved WBCSD Governance Framework, ExCo Charter and Articles of Association (Revised Draft). WBCSD 2020 Strategy and 2014 Annual work plan were also approved.
During the session, CBCSD representatives actively participated in various side events, such as energy and climate change, urban infrastructure initiative, energy efficiency for buildings, regional network, etc. Further cooperation between CBCSD and WBCSD EEB project, EpE France and Korea BCSD were also discussed.
