The Local Government Green Purchase Conference was held in Beijing on October 31 by ICLEI. This conference was aimed at transitioning production and consumption to environmental friendly, social responsibly and innovation; raising people’s awareness of environment friendly and market while tackling climate change. Wang Ying, Director of Government Purchase Office, Ministry of Finance; Jun Qing, Deputy Director of Environment Development Center, Ministry of Environment Protection and Yao Wenping, former Director on the Ministry of Commerce all delivered speeches on the conference. Zhai Qi, vice secretary general of CBCSD also attended the meeting and congratulated to the convening of the conference. More than 40 people, including representatives of green purchase programs of different cities, representatives from local governments and enterprises, experts of green purchase, shared their successful experiences in government green purchase.
