IEA Released Energy and Climate Change: World Energy Outlook Special Report, Urging Countries to Further Reduce Emissions

On June 15, IEA released Energy and Climate Change: World Energy Outlook Special Report, in which it evaluated countries’ commitments to climate and their impact on energy departments for the first time. IEA also highlighted the urgent need to reduce emissions and limit the average global temperature increase below 2 degrees Celsius. On the one hand, it will prepare Paris Climate Change Conference to reach a legally binding agreement at the end of this year. On the other hand, it will help to realize the temperature control goal.
