On the evening of June 27, the Natural Capital Summit was held in Guizhou Province. It was co-hosted by UNEP, WWF and CBCSD and co-organized by DeTao Institute of Green Investment and the Forum of Guizhou TV. Mr. Wang Jiming, President of CBCSD, attended the summit.
The summit was hosted by a famous anchor of CCTV, Ms. Dong Qian. Both Mr. Long Yongtu, former Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and former Chief Negotiator for China's entering WTO, and Mr. Li Zhuozhi, chairman of Detao Group, delivered keynote speeches. They also discussed many topics with the audience, such as how to invest in natural capital, how to establish necessary systems, especially political ones, for natural capital investment, and how to keep a balance between environmental protection and economic development. The participants also exchanged their observations on how to scientifically invest in natural capital, namely how to translate the ecological beauty into the material wealth by natural capital investment.
