CBCSD, together with ICLEI and CEC, held the Green Public Procurement Forum in Guizhou Province on June 28. Mr. Zhai Qi, Deputy Secretary-General of CBCSD, stated CBCSD’s efforts on the green public procurement in recent years, and analyzed influences of and challenges faced by the Chinese government on promoting sustainable development. Mr. Tan Dashui, Vice General Manager of Supplies Equipment Department of Sinopec, elaborated the Sinopec’s practice on green procurement from three perspectives: green low-carbon strategy, green supply concept and green supplier management. Ms. Zhang Xiaodan, General Manager of CEC, shared the valuable experience of CEC on encouraging enterprises and consumers to adopt green procurement from two main aspects: government policy guidance and product certification standards.
