Mr. Xu Lejiang stressed that the extensive development of steel industry caused many problems in the past, such as resource waste, energy waste and pollution, and now it is facing difficulties. On the one hand, people are more aware of environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction; on the other hand, consumers and manufacturers suffered from information asymmetry. Thanks to “Internet Plus”, consumers and manufactures can have more information so that supply can be adjusted to the demand, in order to conserve resources and energy. The steel industry has two ways forward: adapting to the economic new normal, and sticking to the green path. Green means steel manufacturers and consumers’ making full use of steel, green production, and green consumption. The aim is to develop sustainably through information symmetry among consumers and manufacturers.
