Dr. Kim Myung-Ja, Chairperson of Korean BCSD, revealed to the press in Beijing on April 20th that the 2nd China-Korea CEO Roundtable on Sustainable Development is to be held this September in Jeju Island, which will take place at the same time with the Global Green Growth Summit. Currently KBCSD is actively planning and preparing for this meeting. Dr. Kim ensured that KBCSD will closely cooperate with CBCSD to create more green business opportunities for meeting attendees from China, Korea and other ASEAN countries. She hopes that China and Korea will join hands and work on building a consultation channel to discuss major issues concerning climate change and environmental technology industries in collaboration with financial institutions including Green Climate Fund and AIIB. Dr. Kim also suggests that standard business practice and information on state policies be shared to proactively face up to risks and that China and Korea should develop closer cooperation in climate change and environmental technology and business through technical cooperation and mutual investment in expanding overseas markets.
