On July 19th, Eco-Forum Global Guiyang held its opening ceremony in Guiyang. President Wang Tianpu said that SINOEPC is implementing a Clean Water and Blue Sky Project. The Company is going to invest RMB22.6 billion in the next two to three years to reduce the emission of CO2, NOX, ammonia, nitrogen, and COD to the national standards. Meanwhile, it will regularly open factories for people from the neighborhood to visit. SINOPEC aims to create a better living environment for the neighborhood so as to reach a harmonious and win-win ecological relation.
As the first enterprise in China to join the Global Impact, Sinopec works under the principle that “make investment as long as environmental protection needs, say no if environmental protection forbids, refuse the profits under the cost of pollution and environmental destruction”. What’s more, Sinopec further eliminates those lagging behind equipments, thus to improve the indexes that need to be risen and lower those that need to be lowered.
