Technical Norms on Modularized Combined Container Buildings organized by CIMC is released

Recently, the formulation of the national standard Technical Norms on Modularized Combined Container Buildings (hereinafter referred to as the “Norm”) was successfullyaccomplished. Since the formulation task was established in July 2010 and with the repeated demonstrations and tests, the Norm has passed the national professional technical review and finally approved by the related state ministries and commissions in April 2013. It has been listed into the series of standards of China Project Construction Association and will be published nationwide in the middle of June.

The Norm specifically defines various technical parameters of container modularized buildings, removes technical barriers on aspects such as safety and reliability and establishes related national standards. The related state ministries and commissions as well as the review experts hold that the ideology of recycling of available containers are quite in line with the technical policies such as sustainable development and low-carbon economy of the country and also suitable for the development and industrialization requirements of the steel structure application of buildings. The official release of the Norm will provide guarantee for modularized container buildings to be
legal buildings, effectively fill in the gaps of China in such field and be of great milestone significance for the development of related industries of the Country.

As a domestic leader of products in such field, CIMC took the charge of the formulation of the technical standards and norms for the industry, which has not only made it feasible for CIMC to be the largest modularized building manufacturer in China but also undertaken the social responsibility for the healthy development of the industry.
