Support the development of China’s automotive aftermarket.
The fast increasing car population in China spurs the vigorous growth of the aftermarket. Bosch expects this segment to hit a peak level by 2020, and the key factors to shape the future will be brand, professionalism and business scale given the market turning mature and technologies getting improved. This means massive market opportunities for Bosch.
In addition to locally produced brake components and spark plugs, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket business presents several diagnostic and testing equipments at CIAPE 2013. Tailored for passenger cars, Bosch 3D wheel aligner FW 4510 offers the advantage of speed, efficiency and accuracy. With designed features of enhanced target data, low space requirement, easy installation and maintenance, it is feasible for all types of operators, and applicable to all car models available in China. Innovations for energy saving, emission reduction, safety and comfort.
Increasing accidents and emissions along with the fast growing industry and market also cause social concerns. Establishing an ‘environmentally friendly’ society has been set as part of China’s long-term strategy in the 12th Five-year Plan. The first “National Traffic Safety Day” has been introduced by the State Council since 2012.
Echoing with this megatrend, Bosch has been consistently making efforts to support the realization of national goals. For energy saving and emission reduction, Bosch is committed to developing diversified solutions for green mobility and to a sustainable industry. On the other hand, Bosch has introduced a series of safety technologies to meet the growing local market demand when pursuing the future of accident-free driving.
Displayed at the Expo, Bosch Natural Gas (NG) technologies are added to innovative solution portfolio despite powertrain systems. Mature, reliable, cost-effective, and flexible it is, Bosch Natural Gas technologies can be embedded into Monovalent System or Dual-fuel systems. Especially the Monovalent System, it only burns natural gas and is capable of meeting Euro VI emission standards when operating together with exhaust after-treatment systems.
Safety and comfort is another area in which Bosch bears its leading edge. Based on its success of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), Bosch cranks up its development of Driver Assistance Systems grounded on advanced sensor technologies. Exhibited at CIAPE 2013, Bosch’s mid-range radar sensor (MRR), long-range radar sensor (LRR) and multi-purpose camera (MPC) are key elements to driver assistance functions such as Predictive Emergency Braking System, Automatic Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Support, Blind Spot Detection and others. Keen to driving China towards a safe and comfortable future, Bosch’s vision is to realize fully automated driving.
