Sinopec Yanshan Company Completes its First Carbon Trading at Beijing Environment Exchange

On 28th, Nov., upon the formal launch of the Beijing carbon trading exchange, Sinopec Yanshan Company bought 20,000 tons of carbon quotas from Shenergy Group, completing its first quota-based carbon emissions trade. Following the completion of Sinopec’s first carbon trading at Shanghai CBCSD Membership Environment and Energy Exchange on 26th, Nov., this is another important initiative for Sinopec in carbon trading, and is a sign of the development of the environmental protection market. Sinopec plans to further promote its strategic cooperation with the Beijing Environment Exchange by purchasing shares.
