Novozymes is awarded “The Best Environmental Performance Award” in 2014 Deloitte China Sustainability Awards and it is a high recognition of Novozymes sustainability practices in China for environmental excellence from the general public and international authoritative third party.
SHANGHAI, CHINA – February 27, 2014 – Novozymes is awarded “The Best Environmental Performance Award” in 2014 Deloitte China Sustainability Awardss which is the first year of the sustainability awards supported by The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the aim to encourage and reward best-practice corporate sustainability of Novozymes and bring the experience and expertise we have gained in developed markets to China while also being ready to find innovative solutions to tackle China specific sustainability challenges.
“Sustainability is taking up a larger and larger piece of China’s agenda, there is a growing demand to develop sound sustainability strategies for China that can meet China’s specific needs. The 2014 Deloitte China Sustainability Awards attracts a lot of companies involved in according to its authoritative and non-commercial features. The Sustainability Awards consist of five standard awards and one annual theme award (Water Stewardship Award in 2014). Novozymes is awarded “The Best Environmental Performance award” by the 'best in class' performance within Novozymes and also across relevant environmental indicators affecting key stakeholders. The other winning companies of 2014 Deloitte China Sustainability include: BASF, Panasonic, H&M, Schneider Electric, Cocacola and SWIRE.
