On July 26, at the conference of releasing China's first list of CSR Star Industrial Enterprises in the Great Hall of the People, SGCC won the honor as a five-star enterprise. Li Yizhong, President of CFIE (China Federation of Industrial Economics), delivered an important speech and presented the awards for the winners.
This star rating activity, organized by CFIE, was the first one using star evaluation system to quantify the industrial enterprises' fulfillment on social responsibilities. Since the start in March 2014, after a series of procedures of corporate voluntary submission, related units' recommendation, qualification examination, information system's preliminary assessment, recheck, reporting to relevant ministries for comments, publicity and final approval, China's first list of 39 CSR star industrial enterprises has been produced. These five-starrers' CSR indicators all rank top ten in the whole industry, representing the most advanced management and fulfillment. They are the benchmark and exemplary role of China's industrial enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities with excellent economic, social and environmental benefits.
Industrial Enterprises' Social Development Report of the Year 2014 was also released in the conference. SGCC's practice on CSR has been fully affirmed as a typical model.
