SGCC Keeps 2nd Place of China's Most Valuable Brands

China's 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2014 released by World Brand Lab (WBL) on June 25 shows that SGCC, with a brand value reaching 241.562 billion yuan, with an increase of 5.905 billion yuan in 2013. Its brand value has been rising for 8 consecutive years.
At the conference, Hu Yuxia, GM of China Comment of Xinhua News Agency read the reviews on SGCC: "electricity stands for brightness, passes on warmth, and breeds hope. In a prosperous modern society, electricity is just as dispensable as the air. We must remember that SGCC is the one that brings electricity to us. Its slogan is ‘Your Power, Our Care’. Because they care, they have made remarkable achievement."

This conference is the 11th China's 500 Most Valuable Brands held by World Brand Lab (WBL), an international specialist of brand valuation and marketing strategy headquartered in New York, US. Chaired by Prof. Robert A.Mundell, who is Nobel Laureate in Economics, 1999 and professor in Columbia University and known as the "father of the euro", WBL's research results have become important references to evaluate companies’intangible assets.

The Top 5 of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands are ICBC (256.219 billion yuan), SGCC (241.562 billion yuan), CNPC (179.586 billion yuan), China Mobile (178.928 billion yuan) and China Life (174.536 billion yuan). All together there are brands from 25 industries such as food and beverages, textiles and clothing, media, IT, home appliance, automobiles, and energy.
