On 7th July, the latest ranking list of Fortune 500 in 2014 has come out. WISCO has moved up 18 places to the 310th in the ranking list comparing with that of last year.

The ranking list of Fortune 500, announced annually by American magazine “Fortune”, is always regarded as the most famous and authoritative list to measure the strengths of global large-scale companies who is ranked according to their turnovers of last year. This year, the required turnover is increased by 500million dollars, up to 23.7billion dollars; the total income is increased by 2.5%, up to 3100billion dollars comparing with that of last year; the profitability rises sharply, the gross profit is increased by 27%, up to 2000billion dollars.

In 2013, WISCO steadily developed the steel industry and promoted the competitiveness of related industry, the annual turnover reaches 36.9billion dollars (227billion RMB). WISCO bucked the trend and moved up 18 places in the ranking list of Fortune 500 which is the achievement gained by all employers and employees of WISCO through transforming development mode and coordinating the development of steel industry and related industry, holding the bottom line to obtain the small profit without loss.

This year, 100 Chinese companies came in the list of the Fortune 500 which set a record, 16 worldwide metallurgical companies were shortlisted, among which 6 companies slid in the ranking list and WISCO is one of the companies which move up fastest.
