On 24th October 2014, Corporate Governance Asia, the most authoritative quarterly magazine on corporate governance in Asia, held the gala dinner for the “10th Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards” in Hong Kong. With outstanding performance in corporate governance, COSCO International was awarded the highest accolade “Asia’s Icon on Corporate Governance”. This is the second consecutive year that COSCO International was honored as “the best of the best” of Asian companies, which fully demonstrates the leading position of the Company in corporate governance in Asia.

Corporate Governance Asia Magazine holds the “Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards” every year to recognise public companies in the region that perform consistent excellence in corporate governance. The Awards bestow three grades of accolade, among which the highest honour, “Asia’s Icon on Corporate Governance”, is in recognition of those iconic companies which have consistently achieved remarkable performance in corporate governance in the past decade and insisted on implementing good practice of corporate governance in long term whatever the business cycle is. COSCO International was awarded the highest honour as one of the ten China awarding companies.
