The first set of device converting coke-oven gas to synthetic natural gas was successfully put into operation in China.

The industrial device of making synthetic natural gas by methanation of coke-oven gas, with technology and catalyst provided by ChemChina Group Southeast Research & Design Institute of Chemical Industry, was successfully put into operation and offered grid gas. As China’s first set of industrial device that converts coke-oven gas to synthetic natural gas, it can achieve the project of reducing 200 thousand tons of carbon dioxide and producing 100 million cubic meters of synthetic natural gas which offers a new way of making clean energy with heavy-polluting industrial emissions.
