Dupont formally appointed Edward Breen as its new Chief Executive Officer on November 9. Breen has rich company restructuring experience. He held the post of Chief Executive Officer in Tyco International Ltd. (TYC) from 2002 to 2012, responsible for its two divisions. TYC was finally divided into Covidien PLC (COV), TE Connectivity Ltd. (TEL) and ADT Corp. Besides, he also took charge of the combination of Tyco Flow Control and Pentair Ltd. Breen expressed his plan to thoroughly study on the cost structure and capital allocation of Dupont to ensure that the company returns the shareholders properly.
