Coca-Cola Invests 1.2 billion RMB in Kunming’s New Green Factory

Coca-Cola officially laid the foundation for a new factory in Kunming, Yunnan on April 21st. The new factory will replace the current factory with an increasing production lines from 4 to 12. The total amount of investment in the relocation reached 1.2 billion RMB (about USD 185 million), taking up a significant part of Coca-Cola’s total USD 4 billion investment in China from 2015 to 2017 (Coca-Cola’s total investment in China was USD 9 billion from 2015 to 2017). The move to build a new factory in Yunnan reveals Coca-Cola’s confidence in the Chinese market and the southwest region.
