The Chinese version of BP Energy Outlook 2016 was released in Beijing recently. The Outlook predicts that the demand of energy will continue to grow in the following 20 years and more. By 2035, China’s energy consumption will take up 25% of the world’s total energy consumption. As China’s energy structure continues to evolve, China’s energy consumption per unit of output value will see a drop of 46%. The whole world is transforming towards a low-carbon energy system, but the carbon emission is expected to sustain its growth, which indicates the need to take further actions.
