France’s electricity giant breaks through developmental challenge with nuclear power and renewable resources
Date:05-30-2016 Source:
Electricite de France launched its mid-to-long-term development plan CAP2030 in 2015, claiming that developing nuclear power and expanding international market is regarded as EDF’s long-term strategy. According to EDF, nuclear power is essential to a highly-efficient and low-carbon energy mix, as nuclear power is currently the only energy that’s both carbon low and electricity generation in large scale. Renewable resources including wind power and solar energy are generally instable power sources and must be utilized in coordination with other stable sources.
