- Beijing Tiertime to distribute a wide range of Innofil3D materials in China and US
- Partners collaborate to develop materials for industrial applications with FFF technology
Shanghai, China – March 5, 2018 – BASF subsidiary Innofil3D, the leading producer of high-value customized filaments, and Beijing Tiertime, a leading fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printer manufacturer, today signed a strategic partnership to support the further development of the 3D printing industry in China and the United States. Under the agreement, Beijing Tiertime will distribute high quality filaments from Innofil3D in China and the United States, and the two parties will work together to develop engineering materials for industrial applications with FFF printing.
“With the introduction of our ‘UP’ series for FFF printing, in 2010, we contributed to the rise of desktop 3D printers in the consumer and education sectors. Now we recognize that desktop FFF 3D printers are being used for industrial use, due to lower investment costs,” said Andrew Qin, Sales Director, Beijing Tiertime. “By working closely with a strong partner like BASF, we can bring their well-developed Innofil3D materials to the Chinese market, enabling us to respond quickly to an increased demand for premium materials from the professional and industrial sectors.”
“Beijing Tiertime offers significant advantages for Innofil3D in China. They have demonstrated their capabilities in manufacturing reliable 3D printing machines with a strong market penetration,” said Jeroen Wiggers, Managing Director of Innofil3D. “We believe this strong partnership will enable end-customers to capitalize on the full benefits of FFF printing in China and the United States.”
