Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited (HKDC)’s work in sustainability development work with its outstanding leadership and commitment in sustainability, has once again achieved exemplary results in the acclaimed Hong Kong Management Association Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2019.

In recognition of HKDC’s efforts in entrenching sustainability into the operation and corporate culture, and solid establishment of best practices of sustainability in this aspect, the company has been conferred with the Sustainability Awards for Medium-sized Organization at the Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2018/19 on 11 Nov 2019. In addition, Ir. Chris Chong, Managing Director of HKDC has been awarded the Distinguished Sustainability Leadership Award in honoring his leadership and contribution in harnessing and inspiring his staff in making sustainability an organic component of their work culture and performance in the past years.

Launched in 2016, the HKMA Sustainability Award organized by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) aims at promoting sustainability in business and institutional sectors of Hong Kong. The awards will be given to organizations with outstanding sustainability performance in the following aspects: financial and business, corporate governance, risk and crisis management, business integrity, community relations, people’s investment, its environmental management policies and initiatives as well as its innovative practices.

HKDC has also been awarded Special Recognition for Outstanding Sustainability Initiatives Economic Dimension, Social Dimension, Environmental Dimension as well as Special Recognition for Innovation Award at the HKMA Sustainability Award 2019.
