On the UN Sustainable Development Summit, President Xi Jinping called for the discussion on building Global Energy Internet to meet the global need of power in a clean and green way. What is the strategic significance of this initiative to China and the world’s energy development? What is the foundation of building Global Energy Internet? How will State Grid promote it?

Mr. Liu Zhenya answered the questions from three aspects: to promote clean, green and sustainable development of the world; to construct UHV and smart grid as a critical platform of Global Energy Internet; to seek cooperation from other grid companies all over the world. He hoped to step up Global Energy Internet construction by building communication platforms and cooperating with related international organizations. “I believe the day that everyone has access to sustainable energy will come soon, with technical progress and deepening communication and cooperation.”
