Survey on Impact of MNCs in China, Microsoft ranked Second

The Chinese market has become the world's largest potential market. Under the global financial crisis, multinational corporations are more relying on  Chinese market and have more confidence in the Chinese market. Recently, Horizon Research Group’s survey on "the influence of multinational corporations in China", Coca-Cola and Microsoft become two of the most famous multinational corporations.

Experts think that CSR plays important role in companies’ reputation building. China's consumers are more rational to treat the influence of multinational corporations. The companies with a strong sense of social responsibility and actively contributing to society will win more respect from the Chinese public. Due to the Wenchuan earthquake, 2008 became the first year of corporate social responsibility in China. Chinese enterprises’ strong sense of social responsibility and social mobility showed in the Disaster Relief were admired by public, on the contrary, foreign multinational corporations ‘ donation as a result of corporate culture and a different donation system were not timely or donations were low, so the image of foreign-funded enterprises were lowered.

Public paid more attention on the amount and time of enterprises’donation. In fact, fewer or more donations are not fully reflect the social responsibility of an enterprise, and an enterprise should take the concept of social responsibility into its day-to-day production, management and operations.
