August 21, Xin Renzhou, Deputy Director General of Department of Industry and Policy, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), told that MIIT and NDRC have jointly made an overall plan for solving over capacity so as to further dissolve the overcapacity and ensure the stable and healthy industrial economy in the future. The plan will be regarded as the guideline during next working stage of dissolving over capacity. Presently, the plan has gone through final revision and is to be launched soon..
As for the specific requirements in the plan, Xin pointed out “the plan request to raise the access for enterprises to environmental protection, energy conservation and relative technologies and unqualified enterprises will be ordered rectification, or even cancelled industrial access qualification.”
