In accordance to the Beijing Specific Plan For Strategic Emerging Industries-- Energy-Saving and Environmentally-Friendly Industries Development Plan (2013-2015), energy-saving and environmental-friendly industries have seen rapid increase in recent years. The output value has increased by more than 30% annually and will reach 500 billion RMB in 2015.
The Plan shows that Beijing will carry out “Green Beijing” strategy: From 2013-2015, based on fields of energy conservation, environmental protection and resource recycling, Beijing will project itself as the technic innovation source, the leader of product standard, the center of service sources and the modal of market application for nationwide energy-saving and environmental-friendly industries.
