NDRC Giving another Big Push On Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction
The NDRC on August 27 released Notification of Intensifying Efforts to Endure the Realization of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Targets in 2013 on August 27. The NDRC requires ensuring that the unit GDP energy consumption per unit of GDP will fall by 3.7% at least.
According to the Notification, industries including energy conservation, smart grid, internet of things get supports; over production capacity enterprises including iron and steel, cement, electrolytic aluminum and glass are listed in the range of outdated equipment/production line, which are enforced to close at the end of September 2013 and be removed before the end of December.
