Zhang Gaoli, Vice Premier of the State Council, stressed at the Opening Ceremony of 2015 Annual General Meeting of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) that the green development idea should be established firmly to promote the harmonious development of human and nature. Zhang said that the Chinese Government attaches great importance to green development, the idea of green development has been well recognized by the Chinese people, and the understanding height, policy strength and practice depth of ecological environment protection have been improving continually and gained remarkable achievements. China is willing to promote the signing of a new overall, balanced and powerful agreement at the Climate Change Conference in Paris together with all relevant parties, to make it a milestone in the global climate governance process.
