Tom O'Reilly
Tom O' Reilly, Managing Director, Greater China, joined Rockwell Automation China in January of 2007, with Chinese name of 欧瑞韬.
Before joining China team, Tom O’Reilly was the business manager for Rockwell Automation’s Plant Services business which is a component of the company’s portfolio of engineering and maintenance support services. O’Reilly is responsible for the company’s global MRO asset management services and maintenance solutions.
Previously, he was Managing Director, Rockwell Samsung Automation based in Seoul, Korea responsible for all of their operations including sales, marketing, system engineering, manufacturing, and technical support and service in the Korean market. He led the efforts in acquiring the automation business of Samsung Electronics in April 2002 and combining it with Rockwell Automation’s existing operations to create Rockwell Samsung Automation. Rockwell Samsung Automation is now one of the leaders in the automation market in Korea. Prior to Korea, he was Sales Manager for Rockwell Automation Japan based in Tokyo.
O’Reilly began his career with Allen-Bradley, now part of Rockwell Automation, in 1985 as a sales trainee, and has held increasingly responsible sales and sales management positions in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and New York.
O’Reilly has Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
He participates on a number of industry standards committees and is a strong advocate of the open standards they are supporting.
