Hervé MACHENAUD
Hervé MACHENAUD, graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1968, Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées et Institut d'Etudes Politiques de PARIS in 1973.
He joined the French Civil Service Administration des Ponts & Chaussées in 1973. He was first assigned to the Ministry of Cooperation and joined the National Office of Technical Studies and Development (BNETD) in ABIDJAN (Ivory Coast). During this period, he had the opportunity to conduct several appraisal missions for the Word Bank. Then, Head of Major Works Group at the Departmental Engineering and Construction Division for l’ILLE & VILAINE from 1978 to 1982.
He joined EDF in 1982 where he was assigned as Deputy Site Manager of the PALUEL Power Plant and Technical Manager of the DAYA BAY Power Plant in CHINA, from 1985 to 1989.
He was then Director of the Nuclear Department in the Engineering and Construction Division of EDF in charge of Engineering and construction of domestic and export nuclear projects including N4 CHOOZ B and Chinese Daya Bay & Ling Ao projects.
In July 1995, he has been appointed as Executive Vice-President of the Engineering and Construction Division of EDF.
In 1998, he was appointed Head of the Generation and Transmission Division then Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Industry Branch.
He was appointed EDF Executive Vice-President, Head of the Asia-Pacific Branch in February 2002.
