Mr.Douglas A. Jackson

Mr. Douglas A. Jackson was appointed as President of the China Business Unit in April 2007. In this role, Doug is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership of the Coca-Cola China business, which comprises of China mainland, the fastest growing market of the Coca-Cola Company, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mongolia. Doug is also responsible for building critical organizational capabilities in the areas of consumer marketing, commercial and franchise leadership.

Prior to this, Doug was the Division President for South Pacific and Korea, where he was responsible for a combination of emerging, developed and competitive markets covering operations in Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia,
Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tahiti, and other Pacific Islands.

During 2005, Doug held the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Operations for Coca-Cola Africa where he was responsible for the Company’s operations covering North and West Africa Division as well as East and Central Africa Division. This geography encompassed a total of 46 countries both North and South of the Sahara as well as the Indian Ocean Islands.

Born in South Africa, Doug joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1984 where he held a number of sales and management roles before moving to the Company’s Middle East office in Windsor, England in 1993, to serve as Division Operations Manager. In 1995, he moved to Cairo as Region Manager for Egypt and in 1998 Doug served for two years as Group Vice President and Executive Assistant to Doug Daft (President of the Middle East and Far East Group)

In January 2000 Doug was appointed as Division President, Southern Africa, including South Africa currently the 10th largest Coca-Cola market in the world. In January 2001, East Africa and the Indian Ocean islands were incorporated into Southern Africa and the newly formed Southern and East Africa Division was created consisting of 28 countries.

Outside his role as Executive Vice President and Director of Operations for Coca-Cola Africa, Doug also undertook the position as Chairman of The Coca-Cola Advisory Council, which reported to the Executive Committee.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa majoring in economics and business . He is married to Colleen and has three children.
