Ian Riley
Born in 1958. Graduated from Cambridge University. After university he worked for 20 years in Imerys, a leading industrial minerals company, in a range of management roles based in UK, US, Australia and Japan. In 1996, he established Imerys' first plant in China.
Mr Riley has lived in China since 1998. During 2005-2006 he was Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Mr Riley joined Holcim in 2006. He has been seconded into Huaxin Cement and is a member of the Huaxin Executive Committee. His responsibilities included SAP implementation, sustainable development and manufacturing before taking the current role as Vice President of Strategy & Development in February 2011.
