The inauguration ceremony of the China section of China-Russia East Route natural gas pipeline was held recently. Experts believed that this would further China-Russia long-term cooperation while China and Russia were deepening their cooperation on energy, such as oil and natural gas. Last year, China and Russia signed a thirty-year, $400 billion deal that would see as much as thirty-eight billion cubic meters of Russian gas go to China annually from 2018 through China-Russia East Route natural gas pipeline.
